Find a nice place, listen to music, take a bubble bath or long shower and relax... I hope you feel better tomorrow, Im not feeling well myself, but its not pain, its a chest cold.. im definately going to bed early, since i have training tomorrow from 8-2!

Good thoughts to you!

I am so sorry that you are feeling bad.  Unicorn has the right idea about relaxing.  Stress can run us straight into the ground, if we let it.

Maybe, by going back to work, it will help take your mind off what's going on with your health...I know what you are going through.  I had to quit working this past December and I still feel lost, like my life has no real meaning, except to be "available just for RA".  That is why I am going to try the Enbrel, even though it scares the pajeebee's out of me.  Need to get on with my life.

Please try to find some inner peace with all that you have been going through, maybe then the flares will be a little easier to handle...

Keep a stiff upper lip.  It will get better.

BIG ((((HUGS))) just for you.

Waddles

((((((((((((((Karen))))))))))))))

I hope the big hug helps.  I wish I could wave a wand and make things better for you.  I know it is hard and it is so damn fustrating, but Unicorn is right you can't worry about tomorrow, it just brings on more stress to your body.  Right now go just day to day give your body time to adjust, if the  the pain continues and you feel still so sad and fustrated you need to see the dr and tell them how you feel  and tell them everything, you may need to take antidepressants for a little while to help.   It will get better I promise.  meme

Karen , Good luck !! For what its worth Santa is sending a little magic your way! I hope it helps ! Santaruss

What is Azulfidine? Are you not on any type of disease modifying agent at all? I THINK I remember you mentioning being exposed to TB while on MTX; was that you? Does that mean you now can not take any of these medications such as sulfersalazine or plaquenil? I've always felt like these medications helped me...for a while at least. All have worn off over the years and I have to change every couple of years; but I feel like it's treating the disease, not just the pain.

I'm a big believer in these meds...but even when "Properly Medicated" I still have problems off and on and like you get so aggrevated at the unpredictable nature of this thing.

I'll be thinking of you as you start back to work. It's going to be an adjustment; but it's good to keep our minds busy like Unicorn said. Even when I'm not feeling well I feel like I have a purpose. I hope it turns out to be a good thing for you as well. Check in with us and let us know how it goes. I hope you feel better Sweetie. I'll be thinking of you.

Unicorn; good luck to you as you begin your training today!!

Karen,  Read my yesterday's post and know today I am having a great day.  I hope you are too.  I think all of our cronies here know what they are talking about -

ONE DAY AT A TIME.  I hope you have a great day today !!!!!

Hang on with your fingernails if you have too, but hang on. It will get better for you. Maybe not right away, but as soon as you finish your Tb treatment you should be able to take some meds not available to you right now. Nobody can tell you what your future with this disease will be. The best way I have found to deal with the uncertainty is to "take it 1day at a time". When that doesn't work a good screaming fit is nice to let off pent up frustration. They are working very hard to find new treatments for RA. New drugs are continuing to be discovered and maybe even a future cure. There is hope for all of us,

Barb
Hi Karen,

I am so sorry to hear about what your are going
through, both the physical and mental agony.

Hang in there; I will keep you in my prayers.
I know it's hard to know you will have good days
again when you are in pain, but keep your chin up.

I'm glad to hear that you are going to be able to try
provigil. I'll be really interested to hear how it works
for you, because I could really use something to help
with the fatigue too.

(By the way, I did not get a chance to ask my RD
about the water pills. But I did try them for a couple
of days. I think they helped a little, but they really
made me dehydrated. I get bad migraines off and
on, and being dehydrated is one of the triggers, so I
stopped for now.)

Take care,
Tara

Wow! I just achieved 'groupie' status
