I went to rheumay  a yr. or so ago have oa in one shoulder and one ankle  mri showed.  Have had problems over the last yr.  Now for the last  6 weeks after some physical activities I have  pain in upper back, shoulders, neck at times, upper arms, muscle weakness in hands and wrists, sleep at lot.  but gp  shows normal for ra factor  do not know numbers will get when I go to Rheumatologist.  My mother had Ra and my cousin had lupus  but my ana is normal gp said.
I quit a full time job for a part time job a few months ago due to being tired all the time.  Now I have daily pain can still function at part time job but becoming depressed and frustrated am 53. I hope rheumatologist can find what it is.  Also at times my fingers get cold and my 4th and 5th numb when bending elbow or putting pressure on arm or hand.  Any words of wisdom?

I'm not sure I have any words of wisdom.....but plenty of warm wishes.

I hope all goes well; you like the new RD and that he's able to figure out what's going on.

Welcome to our group Sherlock. I hope that you'll become a regular.

Please let us know how everything goes. If it turns out you do have RA this is a wonderful place for new comers. There is years of combined experience here and you'll get insites and advice that you will never get from your doctor.

Good Luck!!

Lovie
