I've had a cold for over a week and can't seem to shake it. Is it harder to get rid of colds when you have RA?

It can be depending on the type of medication you are taking. Are you on MTX or one of the biologics?yes, i am on mtx and sulphasalazinethose meds supress your immune system so it is harder to fight things offRA all by itself can slow healing, then the anemia due to chronic illness slows things down and then the immune system supressing meds on top of it.
When I've been out and around lots of people, or kids especially, I wash my hands when I get home and use a saline nasal spray to wash out my nose - the nose is where many viruses first take hold.
