Does anyone experience the following:

Been on MTX and Naproxen for 6ish months and it's doing wonders! However, when I vacuum or as in tonight ( living in NW Ohio and in the middle of a snowstorm) shoveled - ever since shoveling, I feel like I been hit by a truck.  Hardly any joint discomfort - just very tired and lethargic - the way I felt at the beginning of all this about a year ago.  Just wondering if anyone else experienced something similar.  Thanks

Gee, I sometimes have those feelings after waking up from a 10 hour sleep. Ha ha.

Hello,

I absolutely see a corralation in my physical activity and ra symptoms.

I am also sometimes hit by an almost paralyzing fatique, totally zapped of energy, after physical exertion. Sometimes these symptoms occur with joint pain and fever, but not always.

I do always seem to have a flare, shortly after the fatique begins.

It seems that we people with ra have to suffer consequences, for once normal activity.

I hope you feel better.

I've experienced the same thing. If I do anything out of the ordinary or just get in and out of the car too many times (like going to different stores), I feel exhausted and feel like I can just pass out. It's not so much my joints, just exhaustion and tired muscles. Once the snow and cold weather goes away, I plan on walking for about 10 minutes a day and maybe increase the time a little and hopefully get some energy back.

Yes, I can no longer do some activities like vacumming, sweeping or mopping. When this start happens, you want to talk to your doctor about what you can do to make sure you don't lose function. Because you start avoiding activities and it is SO hard to rebuild up those muscles.

Yes, absolutely. And I see a big connection between the exhaustion and the pain symptoms. When the swelling and pain are better controlled, I"m able to tolerate more activity before I bottom out. It seems like when I notice that my activity tolerance is fading, the other symptoms are right there, or not far behind.
