I am on MTX and Enbrel.  Having manly problems due to stress and Zoloft.  My PCP has rx'ed Viagra, BUT my aunt who is a nurse mentioned that she thought it was not supposed to be use for RA patients.

anyone have any input

thanks

Clufus , I was on it for a couple of years with a heavy med load and had approval of both my rhuemmy and pcp. I would just clear it through them first and hopefully when the stress and zoloft are gone ( or better mantained you can stop taking them. Hope this helps ! Santarussnot being male...i still have to stick my nose in...c'mon y'all know me...i can't resist.
i checked the meds you have listed in your sig plus added zoloft and viagra on medscapes drug interaction checker.  no interactions with any of those and zoloft.  just the standard ssri/nasaid and mtx/nsiad ones.  the ssri/nsaid one is about possible bleeding caused by the two.  just recommends monitoring patient during concurrent use.  the mtx/nasid one is about renal function but again states careful monitoring is what is needed.
hey clufus, i see you still list pred on your list of meds.  did you decrease any or tried and caused a flare? sorry i am nosy.  it's just that because of your question about dropping meds, i was prepared when someone here asked it as well.

Here comes another lady to stick her nose in hehe ME!

Well Im not sure about drug interaction but I will tell you this. Zoloft totally took away my sex drive, but i mean totally lol. So that was one of the reasons why I decided to get on Paxil. Im not sure how well zoloft is working for you but, just know that there are other options for you out there as far as anti-depressants. :) But ultimately its whatever works. hehe good luck!
Clufus,  All I can tell you is - I LOVE VIAGRA - and I am not a man but it sure has given me a great sex life

Lovie,  I am just teasing.  My sweetie uses it.

I know how you feel Lovie.  To be serious - my body aching all the time has been hard on my sex drive which is very frustrating.  I am still in the honeymoon stage of my relationship and I sooooooooo love being with him.

Trust me I know. I'm the same way; just married in November. I don't want my Husband to think it has anything to do with my feelings toward him. I'm still crazy in love with him and very attracted...just exhasted or hurting a great deal of the time which makes it hard to "get in the mood". You know.

If I could find something to give me a boost I'm jump right on it!!
