If you are on MTX and you get a nasty cold, can you still take it?
Check with your RD because I have seen differing opinions on this board.
MY RD told me I could continue to take MTX, even with an infection, I just had to stop Enbrel.

I've never stopped my mtx while having a cold. I've never had a problem with that.I just had a nasty cold, and still took my MTX. Now saying that your cold could potentially turn into an infection with the lowered immune system. I found that i didn't have a problem, but if my cold persisted for longer than it did I would have called the doctor and asked. I guess the best thing would be to ask right off the bat.

I am on mtx and my rheumy did not even want me to go off it for a hysterectomy. I did however at the surgeons request. I liev with a sinus infection almost all of the time and still take teh mtx.
