Dear folks, I don't understand this stuff! I'm taking prednisone every day (3 X 5), methotrexate 4, but was just told to reduce the amount of both if possible, next dose tomorrow. I am also on remicade (second dose yesterday). Please, someone give me a reason why I felt worse this morning than yesterday? am I stressed having the remicade treatment even though I don't know it? A mystery this disease. I've faxed my doctor.
Sometimes it takes a couple of days for the remicade to kick in. I am keeping a pain blog and my infusion was last week and I just now noticed yesteday was a very good day..
Stress can certainly increase pain and the feeling ...OMG why isnt this WORKING, can really add to it... hang in there.
I have no idea why you are reducing the meds, ask your dr to explain his reasoning.
I always feel worse for 2 days after I take my mtx. Then, 4 days later, I feel great. Just gussing, but I think he would like me to do with as little medication as possible and still feel good? I'd like that.Here I am with more stiffness today after methotrexate yesterday (2 down from 4 as directed from my doc) , also I had the 2nd Remicade infusiong Monday. I want to be less stiff, please!! not stiffer. Prednisone still keeping the pain away, thankfully.hurts: are you also taking any anti-inflammatories such as relafen, etc. That helps me with the stiffness. I take it twice a day and I can tell when it starts to wear off in the evening. I get really stiff and sore.
