Well guys, just got my second denial for ss, my lawyer says that it can take up to 24 months for an appeal, wish me luck! Lexiesmommy I am so sorry!  I got my 2nd denial last May and am still awaiting to hear from the ALJ.  Do you have any representation?  I do highly recommend it.  I wish you luck in this terrible process.  If we didn't have enough to deal with we must also fight so hard for the very benefits that we paid for.I am so sorry.  I have decided to appeal when they said the date was I became fully disabled.  I could not work, two doctors said I could not work, my work would not let me work, yet they said I could not work two years after I was unable to work.  I am appealing so I can get on Medicaire sooner.  Good luck with your appeal.  PERSISTENCE.  We just have to share our pain and be a pain in the ass

Yup, I think you have it right.

I'm so sorry you got denied. Remember they are paid to do that and it has so little to do with whether or not you should get approved or not. It's a stupid system that assumes you are guilty of trying to commit fraud. That just isn't the case.

But it plays with your head, I know. You are starving, hurting financially, have all kinds of pressures on you and I'm sure you'd like to return to work. Only you can't.

Keep fighting.

Good luck to all of you - your health system still makes me mad.How do people "SURVIVE" while waiting? To me it sounds like years before you actually get approved. I need to know these things for my own future refferance. It takes up to 24 months to get hearing but i'm sure u will get ssd.they don't care about us or if we can live till then either.prayers your way
