RA flares and common cold | Arthritis Information

Is it common to have an RA flare when you have a common cold? My cold symptoms are really pretty mild, scratchy throat, runny nose, 101.1 temp. But right along with that, I'm having the old pain of RA in my hands, wrists, upper arms, and legs. sure, why not. after all the RA is an immune disorder. if you have a cold, your immune system is working double time trying to help you get better......so the chances of it working double time and flaring you are pretty good. I'm sorry you're sick :( Isn't spring coming soon??? Shoo colds!!!

Hope you feel better quick. And yes, you will be achy.

Just checking to see how you were feeling - if I get a cold or the flu or anything the old RA thinks it has to join the party.
