Foods? | Arthritis Information

I noticed there was a lot of talk on this board about supplements.  I generally look at the Supplement Pamphlet the Arthritis Foundation puts out to see what studies have been done, etc.  I do take some supplements based largely on that Pamphlet.

What I'm really curious about is what foods may or may not contribute to inflammation.  I did read something recently about fried foods causing "inflammation" in "normal" people.

Does anyone know where I could get more information on foods.

Thanks

Elizabeth

I was diagnosed in Nov 2004 and chose to take a dietary approach to treatment.  I avoid all inflammatory foods and eat lots of foods that improve my condition.  The food lists were developed by Dr. D'adamo and vary according to your blood type.  He has authored several books including "Arthritis-Fight it with Blood Type Diet".  If you are interested his website is www.dadamo.com.
I went through several months of severe symptons before my diagnosis. Now about 7 months into the diet, all my symptoms have subsided though not disappeared.  I take no medicine except an occaisional tylenol or advil.  I do take some recommended supplements.
