RA maps? | Arthritis Information

Hi all,

does anyone know any good links or info on maps that show prevalence/concentration of RA worldwide or in the U.S. particularly? I'm particularly interested in the connection between RA and air pollution and I'm wondering if RA is more concentrated in urban areas (when adjusted for population differences).

Thanks for any info you can give me.
I should've titled this "Does Jake need to get the hell out of the city?" that would be really interesting to see actually.  I wonder if anyone is able to find something like that.

HEY KATIE!! you wanna google something?

If you move to the country, keep in mind that when you see the dirt and dust clouds coming out from behind the combines or plows or drills etc, those clouds are full of commercial pesticides, weed killers and etc.s, lots of etc.s. Maybe a bubble?

I have been to a site that debated geography and RA but I am having trouble finding it.If I can find it I will send it along. I was more thinking on finding the area (in the U.S.) with the largest amount of clean oxygen believing that oxygen is most needed for good health and body repair, but that's just my belief.

Hi Lev,
thanks for looking for that site I would be interested in checking it out if you find it. If I moved to the country it would probably be to a place with not a lot of farming. I live in Boston so it would be Vermont, NH, Maine for me probably. They tend to have more organic farming (esp Vermont) for what farming there is.

Also, on the oxygen tip, I lived in Colorado at 9,000 feet for 2 years (much less O2). It's absolutely the healthiest I've ever felt or been but there were a lot of contributing factors (working in a food co-op, lots of hiking etc.)

Jaker,

Ihave for a long time believed that lower oxygen levels that are clean are much more benificial than larger amounts of not so pure oxygen. I looked for that site but didn't spend alot time at it. If you will do a search= rheumatoid arthritis geography you will have a good experience finding even more than you were looking for, very interesting stuff. Happy hunting.

LEV
