From what I read you are the new owner of Arthritis Insight. An introduction from you would be most welcome. Some of us were with KJ at the very beginning and are confused regarding the changes. Please share with us something about yourself and whether Tina, Kimmy or Ron are involved with AI at all.

My understanding is they sold this site and moved on to start a different style of site, something easier to manage.

From what I have read they did not happen to mention it to any of the members. It is no wonder this site does not have as much activity that it once had. Hopefully the new owners will peak in on occassion to see if anyone is even visiting this site. AS I remember it, their was a tremendous amount of valuable information posted here and it appears to have been lost in the buyout.

AI crashed in December - a virus or worm that attacked many websites. Much of the info was lost and the domain name was sold, but KJ and Kimmy did ask the new owners to put something on the front page to let people know that ownership has changed. I don't care to hear any criticism of KJ and Kimmy unless you were paying them a salary. They put in countless hours of work for our benefit.
There are a couple of boards that many members are posting on now: the one Gary posted and one that I don't have the link for, but can be found if you google rheumamisfits.
AI has been a great help to me over the years and I hope it continues to be an active and vital site.

I recognize you Gary. Are you still have good results with not eating certain foods? I check out that website Gary...that is where KJ is.
Lyndee-Thanks for backing me up here. I really think the new owners do need to make an appearance, if for no other reason than its the right thing to do. I see their membership is from 2003 whereas we are all newbies, which is fine, BUT...cmon have some common courtesy and tell us about yourself Ernest. If you have been around since 2003 many of us probably know you. Do you have RA? Do you plan on any changes in this site, etc?

Hmmmm....this sounds very suspicious to me. Kinda like we have a couple of people who are not who they say they are.
Frankly, I'm sick and tired of people slamming KJ and Kimmy. Quit trying to prove that they have lied to you about the site and what happened to it. This is so ridiculous!! Get a life!!
Just because someone isn't posting doesn't mean they aren't hanging around...AI has never been a site that required registration in order to read the boards...unlike some sites on the net, it accepted everyone.
After all KJ and Kimmy did for you for years!! this is how you're treating them now. Shame on you!

I am the real Katie... KJ helped me through some of the worse times in my life along with her websites since 1998. I hosted Friday Night chat for several years not just because I enjoyed the chat, but it was my small way of thanking KJ, Kimmy, and Ron for all the work that they were doing and all the help that not only I was receiving, but countless others. So please do not accuse me of slamming or being an imposter. I have not checked in the AI site in months so I was totally unaware of any changes. I was just confused, as I stated, regarding the changes and hoped that the new owner would introduce himself. I made not one negative comment regarding KJ, Kimmy, or Ron in either of my posts and never will, because I have none. I intend on going to her new website tonight. I think it is unfortunate and most unkind the way you have reacted to my posts.

I apologize if I've mistaken what you've said, Katie, but there's been a lot of lies and gossip being spread around about KJ and Kimmy. It's still going on and it's been awful. A lot of people are upset about it, including KJ and Kimmy. There are people who have been spamming people here to get them to go to another site, not the one that Gary has mentioned, but another one. These same people have made accussations and have spread a lot of lies to as many people as they could. They are people who spent a lot of time at AI the last couple of years...on the boards and the site. And they are registering here and on KJ and Kimmy's new site under phony names to contact people who have registered there and here.
I'm sorry if I mistook you for one of them, but I'm not sorry for making it known that many of us are very unhappy with what's gone on and is still going on. And I feel that they should be ashamed of how they've acted and what they are doing.
You are more than welcome to come over to the new site. In fact, I'm sure KJ, Kimmy and everyone else would love to see you. I remember you from the chatroom a long time ago. Just do me a favor, be leary of who you're getting information from.
Yes Katie, I am still doing very well. My knees are falling apart, but they have a history far longer than my RA.
I am finishing up on the house I built for my sister, I did it all myself including the wiring and plumbing with the exception of the roof(Im not that crazy). The wiring and plumbing made the job take longer but now all I have left of any concequence is most of the trim work and the hardwood living room floor. All inspections are completed My sister is moved in and were waiting on re-financing to finnish up.
The Only thing I have changed as far as eating is concerned, is I have started eating wild salmon once a week or so.

It's nice to meet you! I was a member of AI for a very long time and would like to continue coming here. I was sad to see KJ and Kimmy sell it, but I believe that this was a good move for everyone. I'm glad you're going to keep it up and running. I sure hope it continues to grow and be a place of support for people with arthritis. It looks like it's heading in the right direction!
I hope you didn't take offense to what I posted, but I've been a little upset with some of things that went on in regard to the old site. I know you had nothing to do with that and wish you the best with this new site.

I am glad AI is back up I have ben going back and forth between here and KImmy's and KJ"S site which was mentioned above. i am glad to see alot of the same and new people. I was with the AI before all the hacker chaos. I enjoy both this board and rheumorweb they are both good sites. meme
Ps to those that wonder why they weren't notified as to when the Site went down, when the worm attacked the email list was destroyed . Those of us who had given each other our emails tried to keep in contact until a new site was found. We tied to find as many of you as we could but we are sorry that you didn't get a notice about it. It is nice to have the two sites now. as stated, both sites are nice i think the new owner is doing a bang up job too.

Looks like they have been working hard to recreate what was lost. I read that this worm destroyed about 179,000 different web sites. I heard about this worm the day after I couldn't get on the AI site and just knew that this is what happened here. I am very grateful for all that Kimmey and KJ did and am also grateful that Ernest is putting so much effort into putting AI back together.

As others have stated, I too hope to go between the two sites for information. I wish you the best, and thanks for buying this site. It would have been sad to see all of Tina's and Kimmy's hard work disappear.
Often family members seem to understand arthritis the least and choose not to learn or become involved; it appears you are an exception to this.
