You should drop in at the RA section of this board - that's where everyone seems to hang out. We have some other folks with JRA who pop in too.
You should also check out another board:

There is a section for JRA there too!
Sorry to hear you have JRA, but we're glad to have you here!

Hey, I a little older then you, I'm 21. I was diagnosed at 11 though. I've had symptoms since I was 8 though. School was very hard. I totally understand though. I have a severe form too and would have flare ups last for months. In fact I am having one myself. I hurt for you. Have hope though, not many people have it last into adulthood. I hope you not one. If you wanna talk I here. Gentle Hugs
I am glad to see you are on here and I hope you are finding friends too. I was diagnosed with JRA when I was 3 and it has turned into RA when I became a late teen (I am now almost 26). If you ever want to talk please let me know, but it looks like your post has produced a lot of friend requests so far.
I just wanted to let you know about a great camp that I went to when I was your age called Camp MASH (Make Arthritis Stop Hurting). My doctors told me about it and I went there from ages 12 till 17 (you had to graduate at that age). You cannot even know how many great friends I made at this camp, in fact I met my best friend there. Plus, it was so welcoming to belong in an environment where everyone shared the same disease or even multiple diseases. We did great things during our time there (it was sadly only 5 days) and had many art projects, games, pool time, and even a dance.
Camp MASH is locted in Wisconsin Dells, WI. I don't know if you live around this area at all, but Ashley this is well worth your time. Let me know how things are and I wish you the best.Welcome Ashley!
