Good morning

I have been diagnosed for a couple of years now and currently am taking arava and humeria plus way too many other medications for other problems.  Lately I have been experincing tingling and kinda numbness feelings in my fingertips and toes.....do you think that is related somehow ????

Have a great day...and God Bless

Ask your doctor about neuropathy.  One of the first signs is tingling in the fingers and toes.  It seems that people with ai issues are more prone to getting it. If you have swelling in your elbows or knees it can mess with your
fingers/toes.

Or...I was actually taken off the Humira. I went to a neurologist and they
did their tests and said it was the drug.

Gram~I was taken off of Humira about 8 weeks ago for the same reasons. I'm happy to say that I've managed very well without it; despite my original fears. I've increased my MTX to compensate for the change and so far it's working fairly well.

I also had tingling in my legs and arms. That seems to have subsided although it took several weeks. My fingers and toes still do it some; but my doctor THINKS it could be related to Raynaurds Syndrome which apparently I was dx'ed with years ago. Whether that's all it is or not I'm not sure.

Hope things work themselves out for you. My doctor said he has several patience that had simular problems and once they stopped the Humira the problems went away. Hopefully this isn't your problem....ut I thought I'd mention it. There is a rare chance that Humira as well as Enbrel can cause symptoms simular to MS.

I've also been experiencing some tingling symptoms...in my shoulders and arms.  It doesn't persist, usually lasts a couple of hours and I often feel sick at the same time...nausea and some weakness.  I talked to my RD.  She wanted me to stop Humira for awhile but after talked about it a while decided to get an MRI and talk to a neurologist first.  I hate to give up the Humira too quickly.  It's been working well without the side effects of the MTX and the tingling episodes usually come just before I take the Humira shot not after.  I also noticed that if I take an NSAID it usually slows or stops the symptoms so I suspect it's caused by inflammation and not Humira.  The MRI is this week...I'll let you know what happens.

Alan

thank you everyone...I have an appt with the rheummy 2 morrow

Let us know how things go. HUmira may have not been to blame for my problems; but luckily for me I've managed real well without it so far. I was very hesitant to come off of it in the beginning; but so far I'm happy I did it.

I do think it's wise to check other avenues though before being too quick to pull it. Alan; I hope things continue to go well with you on Humira. I had a good experience myself with it.....and I'm still not convinced it's been the problem with me; but we'll see.
