Any Good Movies | Arthritis Information

Ok, time for a new topic. Has anyone seen any good movies lately? Either in
the theatre or on TV. We just saw the Illusionist and the guardian. Both
were excellent. I highly recommend them both.   I also heard Number 23 is
good as wll as Hannabal rising. On the otherhand, Saw 3 was absolutely
gory and I was appalled. Anyone?

LOL...I cant even bear to watch the previews for Saw. I have a vivid enough imagination as it is.

I saw Employee of the Month which was cute. Dane Cook is so hot and Jessica Simpson (who usually drives me nuts) was sweet. I also watched Marie Antoinette. Kirsten Dunst was perfect as always. I do recommend reading up on Marie Antoinette on Wikipedia before you watch the movie. The movie is fun and light hearted, but it helps to know her story before hand.

I went to see Ghost Rider a couple of Fridays back, I think. And it was pretty good.

I want to see Disturbia with Shia LaBouf

My son wants to see ghost rider..but this is the kid that still wants someone to wait in the bathroom while he showers in case there is a boogy man in there. I dont know if GHOST ridier would be a good choice for him or not...lol.I watched pursuit of happiness and thoroughly enjoyed it. I also saw night at the museum, my kids loved it.I don't know if you guys get our movies although I have heard that our Aussie movie "Kenny" is out somewhere over there.  If you want a good laugh and a bit of insight into the Aussie mind, see Kenny either in the theatre or hire it from the video store.I enjoyed the Illusionist as well.  Going to be seeing The Prestige this week.

We rented "Flicka" at the video store. I was a really good family movie. Beautiful scenes in the mountains in Wyoming. My kids and I both enjoyed it. Get your tissues out, you're gonna need it!

We rented Babel this weekend and I cant figure out why people were talking Oscar for this movie. It really wasnt that good.

We managed to see "What Dreams May Come" and were just blown away by it.  What a great movie.. (Robin Williams goes to heaven)

We also saw "Simon Birch" based on the book "A Prayer for Owen Meany" by John Irving.. what a wonderful sweet and touching movie, about the nature of faith and longing. it didn't hurt that Simon was dealing with major health issues, yet lived his life as fully as can be imagined.

Have to agree that 'Babel' was a waste of rental $, a whole movie about bad choices gone really bad. DD & I saw 'The Prestige' at the theatre, I got it for her birthday, if you like movies where you have to figure out's going on, it's a real good thinker. She saw it the night before we saw it together and she kept asking, 'who do you like now?' On the way home she told me she had kept giving updates to the girls she went with, guessing how it would turn out and then she went, 'OMG I'm my mother' we had a good laugh.

I agree, the Illusionist and the Guardian were both awesome.  I also enjoyed Flyboys.

I watched Babel the other day and couldn't figure out how the asian girl fit with the story other than she was the daughter (won't go any further with that comment - don't want to give anything away if you haven't seen it).  Fell asleep half way through the Departed too.  Can't undersand how these two were nominated.

Gary and I went to Syriana when it came out in the theatres and we both
came out of the movie and he says...man, that was so good and I
said.....HUH??? I didn't get it. I still don't know what it was about. Its funny
how one can love a movie and the next can hate it.Everybody should watch Syriana, it's kind of a sleeper until the last 5 minutes, my husband and I just sat there in shock.

We just went to see "The Astronaut Farmer" last Saturday.  It's a bit corny and predictable but we enjoyed it anyway.  I like the message...never give up on your dreams!

Crunchy - Ghost Rider is not scarey at all. Our 8 year old daughter went with us. She loved it! She wanted to go back and see it again the next weekend
