Did anyone go to camp when they were little? What kind of camp? I was just sitting here, and a song that I learned at Day Camp popped into my head. I LOVED day camp...here's the song:

I woke up Sunday morning, and looked upon the wall
The skeeters and the bedbugs, were playin a game of ball
The score was six to nothin, the skeeters were a head
The bedbugs hit a home run, and knocked me out of bed -
Singin, eeney meeney and a miney mo,
Catch that whipper whopper, by his toe
And if he hollers hollers hollers, Let him go!

I'd tell you the tune to sing it to if I could remember what it was.. haha..you are a nerd! lol....

I had a tiny turtle, his name was tiny tim..

I put him in the bathtub to see if he could swim.

He drank up all the water, he ate up all the soap...

And now my tiny turtle has bubbles in his throat! (gurgle gurgle)

Oh crunchy, I sang that to my kids al the time when they were little. They
loved it. I had almost forgotten that one. I'm gonna sing it to my
grandkids. Thanks for shaking the cobwebs loose in my head, hehe.

It is a good bathtime song for little ones...I used to sing it to my kids too... It probably would serve to embarrass the older kids too. Trying singing that to a 14 year old at the neighborhood pool! I worked at a residental camp for 5 summers. I ended up being their
program director.

My favorite:

The Gift

I have a little present here for you
Inside this tiny bottle so very small and blue
Please do not uncork it, simply put it on away
For inside, there lies a summer's day
Put it on away

Now I’d be pleased if you didn’t ask
Why I gave this gift to you
I don’t know myself; did it on a whim
As the thought came running through

I just wanna make you happy
In a summertime sort of way
And I thought you might like your own summer's day
Put it on away

Now can you read the writing on this tiny bottle’s wall
I know it is quite small but I can read it all
It says: She who is a readin’ me is a lookin’ right at my side
You might be kinda interested about what lies inside

They’ll be one breath of a butterfly
And one ray from the sun
And lots and lots of laughter
From little childrens' fun

So please do not uncork it
Or everything will get away
And I thought you might like your own summer's day
Put it on away

My best friend and I worked there together and recently went back for a
renunion. It was the coolest thing to see our lttile boys (3yrs) walking
hand in hand down the trails.
