Hey Everyone,

Got a question for ya: Does anyone get mouth sores that just pop up out of nowhere? Ive been getting them for the past couple of weeks more often than usual. I know certain meds can cause you to have them, but riight now Im only taking Celebrex, and Plaquenil (which i just started this week). Just curious to know if this may be just a side effect, or another pain of RA

Thanx was trying to see if i should bring it to the attention of my RD. Do you know the name of some of these mouthwashes or where you get them from, regular drugstore or health food store?A cheap but effective way of treating them is to rinse with baking soda or salt in water. If buying a mouthwash, avoid any with an alcohol base as this will probably irritate them even more.

Another trick is using peroxide and water.  1 part water to 1 part peroxide and gargle.  Works really well use it 2 to 3 times a day while you have the mouth sores,.  meme

Thanx for the tips, I will defenitely use them. Dagda I didnt even think about the alcohol in mouthwash irritating the sores, DUH!!!!! Makes a lot of sense now. Will be buying some alcohol free mouthwash today. Good lookin out!!!!!!!!
