Love the thin mints frozen!! yum yum

Wow, great idea.  Never thought to freeze them.  I bet the peanut butter ones would be good that way too.  I haven't received mine yet but am anxiously awaiting.

I got mine in December

thx

While grocery shopping today, I saw some people selling girl guide cookies at the exit of the store.  I was going to buy a box of them, but they were .00!!  I think the last time I bought them they were about .00-.00.

Enjoy your cookies CinDee!

wow I only paid .00 a box. Being an ex girl scout leader for 9 years.....I know they go for a good cause and teaches the girls valuable lessons. Our troop was able to go on trips such as Six Flags, and water parks...also many other events. We donated $ to the food pantry in our town. Which was one of the girl's idea.

Ahhh.... girl scout cookies.... well have not seen them setting up shop in front of Freak-Mart yet. And mother-in-law does not have a kitchen counter full of them, so must not be time for them to sell them here.

Hubby likes the thin mints, I like those coconut ones.

The shortbread are my favorite. I ate one sleeve sitting at the computer. Without even thinking! Hubby is taking the box and a half that I didn't eat to work.Put me down for the mints, too!

I'm in Canada, too. They're about a box here, too. But worth it!

Years ago when I was a girl scout leader I had my entire troop's order in my family room, stacked on the bar.  We went out for the day and my boxer, Roxie, had eaten almost all of the cookies, or at least chewed the boxes.  You want to talk about an expensive lesson - but I have to admit I did see some humor in it too!  I could just picture her all-day dog party.  Of course she is the same dog who broke a bottle of whiskey and lapped it up.  When we came home she couldn't even walk!

I loved being a girl scout leader - did it for 8 years.  But boy I'm glad I don't have to live through cookie sales again!

Your dog is tooooo funny!!!! But has good taste. LOL

Thanks for the laugh!

Here's a wonderful recipe for a delicious cream cheese pie!!!  If you want the mint cookie crust, I usually take twoo sleeve of the cookies chop them in the food processor till very fine, then mix with at least 1/4 to 1/2 of melted butter, you want the crumbs moist enough to bind together  when pressed into the pie plate.  I use a large pie plate press crumbs into the bottom of it and up the sides, bake in the  oven for 10 minutes let cool.  If you don't want to make your own, get a large premade graham cracker or oreo cooke pie crust.

here is the recipe for the cream cheese pie

1 8oz brick of cream cheese

1large tub of cool whip 16oz

1 pkg of instant pudding use frecnh vanilla, lemon, or whatever you want for the graham cracker crust. for the oreo and mint cookie crust go chocolate the rich the better.

prepare the pudding according to box I take it and mix it in a jar or bowl with a wire whip  set aside take the brick of cream cheese with wrapper off, place in a large microwave bowl and warm it in the microwave for 1 minute.  Take the cream cheese out stir it till nice and smooth add cool whip and mix well then add pudding and stir more till all is blended then pour into pie crust and place into frig for several hours.  YUM YUM YUM

Variations for the chocolate I take some bakers choc, or dark chocolate melt it in the microwave add  to the creamcheese mixture, mix well then pour into crust.

You can serv with cherries strawberries whatever, you like it makes a large pie because they always come back and ask for more.
