Hello All My name is Dave. I am new here and just looking around. I am a veteran from the frist gulf war and recently proved that there was something wrong. I have Arthritis in my back. I have always been healthy but let me tell you knowing this now I am kind of depressed. I have lived with the pain for so long now that I know when a flare up is comming so I modify what and how I do it. But to now have proof makes me want to cry, but no tears come I think the hardest part is going to is to tell my wife and daughter. I just hope that it doesn't get worse faster. The next thing is to start all the tests. But having read some of the other posts I am still a far ways from not being able to play the drums. Anyway if any of can pass on some words of wisdom or need help from me let me know. As Americans we owe it to each other.

Hi Dave welcome.  I am new here too.  Just joined yesterday.  First, I would like to thank you for serving our country.  I have arthritis of the spine so I know what you are going through.  Mine is progressing slowly thank goodness.  I recently had foot surgery so thru the limping stage my back ached liked crazy.  As for the tears, I think all of us feel that way sometime.  Might not be a bad idea to have your dr prescribe some kind of antideppresant.  It does help alot.  Again, welcome, hope to talk to you soon, and thanks for your service to our country.  You make us proud to be Americans.

Definitely Dave, Thank You for you service to our country! Congrats on finally getting something recognized. I have RA. I don't know alot, but If I can be of any assistance please let me know.  Take care as best you can. Tears are hard to come by for me too. I hope you are doing ok.
