Is this a true result of prednisone? I take 3 X 5 per day??? Thx
When I was put on pred almost two years ago, my Doctor told me that there was no way of avoiding the "moon face" and sure enough after a couple of months there it was - I knew about it as my sister has to take pred sometimes for her algergy. I have to take it for my PMR. Hopes this helps to answer your question

I had the moon face for a while, but didn't put on any weight - in fact I was pretty skinny. and my fat face looked funny. Now I am on lower dosage it had gone down altogether, and my face just looked baggy and saggy!!
I was down to 6mg & 5mg alternate days. This time around I am back up to 8mg, I have put on a little weight, but not heaps. but the good thing is, enough result showing in my face that the wrinklies are smoothing out!!
