Are vertigo problems common with RA

Hi and welcome to AI

I've been wondering the same thing. I've had Benign Positional Vertigo (BPV) for about 12 years now. I was diagnosed with RA July 2005, but in retrospect I'd been having what I assumed to be Repetitive Strain Injury(RSI) for about 4/5 years prior..

Is it you or another who has vertigo? You/they have my sympathy, it's horrible and scarey.

I haven't heard about vertigo and RA, but I do know many medicines we take can cause dizziness.

I had spells of vertigo when I was on mtx, but once taken off the drug they seem to have gone away except for once in a blue moon.  meme

nsaids are infamous for causing vertigo/dizziness.

My wife has trouble with vertigo. She uses Welches grape juice when she has just a little trouble. She says it helps. She had a Virus a year ago and lost hearing in her left ear. Really bad time. A friend told us about the grape juice. Seems to help.

I think I read that vitamin C makes MTX more toxic. So might be a problem if you are on MTX.

Thanks for reading

CJames
