  hi everyone,

i have a question about ra level, they say a normal ra level is 20 mine is at 75 for a ra person is this high or moderate doctors never told me and i am just wondering. hope to hear from someone.

When I was diagnosed I was looking all over the net to find out if my rf was extremely high, or what. I never found anything that used numbers but just said things like, "a high rheumatoid factor is an indicator of..." I finally just posted a thread asking people what their rheuamtoid factor was when they were diagnosed and I kind of got a ballpark idea of where mine landed.

Here's a link about the RF test that might help you understand it better.

75 does sound pretty high.  My doctor doesn't routinely test for RF factor, doesn't really believe it's a very reliable diagnostic test for RA, so I don't even know what my level is.

I can't remember what my sed rate was.

My rheum. at the time said over 100 was starting to get his attention as " Mod. high".  My initial test was 168. When it is lower than 100 like yours, an anti-CCP test is recommended to confirm a Dx of RA.   Lou
