Is there another choice for this drug that protects our bones? I did not take actonel since the 14th of Feb, and sure enough that creaky neck pain (different) did not appear? One person wrote that they too had experienced (back) pain after taking it?Hi Hurts
I was the one w/the back pain from Actonel. Two other drugs that I know of for replacement are fosomax and boniva. You may want to mention to your doctor about the neck pain.

irritation, bone disorders and pain, bronchitis, bursitis,
cataracts, chest pain, colitis, constipation, depression,
diarrhea, difficulty breathing, dizziness, dry eyes, eye
infection, flu-like symptoms, gas, headache, high blood pressure,
infection, insomnia, itching, joint disorders and pain, leg
cramps, muscle pain, muscle weakness, nausea, neck pain, nerve
pain, pain, pneumonia, rash, ringing in ears, sinus problems,
sore throat, stomach bleeding, stuffy or runny nose, swelling,
tendon problems, tumor, ulcers, urinary tract infection, vertigo,
vision problems, weakness.

Ok, that all makes sense to me. I'll try fosamax (I think I did this before some time ago, but just picked up the Actonel lately. Honestly, I didn't neeeeed pain in my nect from that! I had enough pain already. Thanks
