Gem,

I found that thread and moved it to the front for you it is

"How were you first diagnosed and what were your first  signs."

Thank you so much Pam. I got so much out of those letters. Here I am not officially diagnosed and sometimes feeling like I am going crazy or as so many people said dying, literally. And I feel like no one is going to find out why until it’s too late sometimes. Hope that didn’t sound too whacked but I do have my moments.

Well, this is the most progress I have had so far. I just hurt not exactly like everyone else, but in many cases exactly the same. I don’t seem to have so much trouble with swelling and the heat, I read so much about. Guess I am lucky in that respect.

Last fall I did have a complete rash breakout (which also itched something awful and I didn’t hear anyone say it also itched, is that normal for this). I’ve never had a rash in my life and at the tender age of 57 looked like a spotted child and could not sleep for the itching. None of my doctors seemed to know what it was at all and frankly couldn’t treat it well, it seemed like forever until it went away.

The difficulty in walking upon waking is a given for me for about an hour then I’m loosened up.

The hard parts have been the unbelievable pain in my hip and down my leg and that may be the degenerative disk disease.

Others are both of my shoulders being sore in the same spot at exactly the same time, both my knees, and that awful gnawing pain that almost drives me over the edge.

I wish I could get my appointments moved up some but I have not been able too so far.

Do any of you worry that if they make their doctor mad at you that they will not respond to your needs? Well, I do. Maybe that’s a personal problem but I do put up with a lot because of that.

Thank you all so much and Pam thanks again for forwarding the information of other people’s onset. I am so happy to have found this place.

Very sincerely and I will let you know how things turn out.

God Bless,

Gem

Hi Gem,

I worry too about getting a bad feeling going with the Dr and or his office.  With my insurance I really don't have another choice.  I have to say he has not been the best.  Having trouble with my medication  and cant get a call back until 3 messages have been left and 5 days have passed.  Usually I would never put up with this, but for the fact that I have no other choices and am in a serious situation, I try not to make any waves

Glad your here Gem!
