I was able to reduce by 1/2 of a tablet yesterday without problems today. It turns out the hours inbetween (if you are committed to a certain time frame) extend out a bit and I've been able to go more hours without the pills. My gosh they are powerful!! I sweat at night after 1/2 at 6pm, in the morning I can feel the effects after 1/2 (to think I took 3 every morning!) just a week ago. I'm still at the 2-1/2 in a 24 hour period, but I'd so like to get OFF of these. (I don't like this moon face, the scary reports, etc.) Thanks for all the encouragement and suggestions. Feelin'BetterGood to hear you are having luck with the taper - just remember to go slow - this isn't just because of the pain but your body has to get use to producing its own cortisol again so slow is the key word here. Keep us posted. Hugs and good vibes.Hurts--How many mg of pred. in each tablet? At some point you may have to tapper down by mg. rather than pill size. I went from 20mg tablets to 10's then 5'. Now I take 4 of the 1mg. I'm almost off it
