This is what I saw when I went for my walk in the hills the other day

Oh my!  How beautiful! Are the birds natives or was that at a bird sactuary?

I could actually be tempted into going walking if that is what I saw on one!

I'm a really big bird lover.

Are these birds in the wild there? Surely not.

I am a bird lover Pam and these pics are breathtaking.  The closest to those in my area is the cardinal bird and the male is red.
I hear that Australia is a beautiful country.  Thanks for sharing these.
Fantastic!!!

Thanks for sharing!!

Gorgeous - I'll take one of each if you don't mind!

I've wanted a cockatoo since I used to watch Baretta - now only you old folks like me know what I'm talking about!

LOL..Hillhoney. Baretta was a good show! ..and pammy416, That was a huge smile for today! thank you!...There are such beautiful birds wandering around Australia, I can't imagine just going outside and getting photos of them. That must be pretty cool. I would love to go outside and see sulpher crested cockatoo's..I'll have to look the other up, I'm rusty on my birds...Thanks!

The photo's are beautiful. It must have been a fantastic walk to go on

Me too Hillhoney.

Pammy Thank You for the pics. I'd love to go on a walk with you.

Glad I could brighten your days.  The birds are all native and wild, they come into the backyard if you leave bird seed out.  The cockatoos are NOISY when they go over in flocks of about 80-100, just about deafening.  I love going up to the hills behind the house and having afternoon tea at the tea room and walking in the forest and seeing the birds.  The red and blue ones (Crimson Rosellas) are my favourites too.  The birds are one of the things I would miss the most if we left Australia and came back to North America.  We have all kinds of wild parrots here and I love it.  It actually inspired me to go for walks more often when I saw these.  I might treat myself to tea and scones and birds once a week
