ACID LEVELS | Arthritis Information

HI to everyone. I have got to go to see an ear nose and throat DR for sinus problems that I thought were due to my humira. My G.P. Mentioned something about having a tube up my nose into my throat and wear it for 48 hrs to measure my acid levels, does anyone have any info. on thisSounds similar to what they wanted to do to my daughter to test for reflux. Are you also having stomach/heartburn issues?  Wow. Sounds pretty aggressive. If you do have bad acid levels then what?

I have been having severe bloating in the stomach and indigestion but didnt realise this affected the sinus's??????

I think if the acid levels are bad they just treat it with medication.

Did your daughter have the nasal tube put in jessica?

Why don't you just ask your doc to skip that miserable expensive test and to treat you like you had real high acid levels and see if it helps your sinus trouble?

Expensive miserable tests do not fix anything. Your doc has an educated guess as to what is going on - so why not just treat it?

I have been down the acid medication treatment and cameras put where i never want them to go again. The sinus problem is severe with constant face pain and headaches and numerous rounds of antibiotics which messes up my humira so he trying this as a last resort.Yeah but if the tests show you need the antibiotics or the acid medication then what?

The test seems unnecessary.Pin, no I refused to allow that test be done, instead she was young enough (still on a bottle) that we had her do a barium drink and then watch on the thing-ama-jig (cannot remember the name! ) machine. That showed the sever reflux. Honestly though the acid TX is so easy I would agree with the others, treat it like it is and see if it helps first  I am under the belief that i wont know unless i try. I have tried antibiotics for my sinus's for ages now, I have tried acid medicines for the acid in my stomach and it doesnt work.there must be a reason.good luck, I know it can be uncomfortable so I will be sending good vibes your way!  Thanks
