well, i think i'm back now for a bit. No more leaving, no company
planned. It's been a fun time but I am happy to be alone with my
boys and critters. I love having my best friend here though too
so either way. But now, back to work as I put it. Got lots
of cleaning to do. My house is not horrible but needs some
cleaning, lots of sand at the front door because we've been to the
beach a lot. And now I need to de-hair the steps as it seems my
tubby boy kitty sheds on the steps and that's it. And my bathroom
has enough sand to make a beach I think. But all in all it's not
too bad. Just a bit of sweeping, mopping and vaccuming. And
Gar will do much of that Tues and Wed if I can just make myself stay
sitting. I overdid it a lot. Beach going, driving when it's
been over a year since I last drove, cooking full meals nightly, plus
cleaning up after 4 kids, 3 under 10 and one 28 yr old kid. But
knowing Mary got a bit of a break and I wouldn't let her "do" much is
worth it. She needed that break before her pregnancy gets too
advanced.
We did have Bastian's ortho appt last week. Everything is fine
according to the x-rays. The doc said he looks and acts perfectly
healthy. But he did acknowledge the pain. And he is wanting
to keep an eye on him. So that is good as well.
well, i am off to try catching up on things. got lots to
do. but here is a pic of my gang at the beach and then one of my
newly home kitty boy.
Mary, Tai, Ramsay, Gar, Bastian on the beach.
Kitty Boy Falcor
and one more, last one I promise.
Wayney,
Glad your back....or think your back
Thanks for the pictures, that's always fun.
Too bad "kitty boy" looks to have such a rough time of it
Hope your off to a good start this week....I feel like the tin man in "The Wizard of Oz", I could use some oil this morning
Maybe we will have to set up a website for parents of puppies with arthritis ???????????? Welcome back! It's good you now have some time to relax and focus on YOU :) I love the pictures!!!!!!!! I hope that Bastian gets the relief he needs soon. Love and gentle hugs to your whole clan. Love, Juliah
Roxy , WB Way, Do stay on top of Bastians pains. I was dx'd with " growing Pains " when I was a child also . I know the medical field has come a long way since then but......... Is it just me or does Bastian have your eyes ? Been along time since you posted a pic of you I not sure ! Good Luck Santaruss Hey I have a similar pic to your prom pic...but it is of the 8th grade dance. I will see if I can find it. and post it for ya.
Jooniper posted a really great how to post pics thread on the message board tip[s & tricks section. Here's the link
http://www.arthritisinsight.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=4 36&PN=1
I use photobucket http://www.photobucket.com to host my
pics. yahoo doesn'y support img tags and is weird about linking
to pics. jooniper mentioned image cave as well. my hubby
uses photodump i think. i like photobucket. it's easy to
use, tells you exactly how to upload pics. if i remember
correctly, there is a way to resize pics on there as well if you
don't have photo editing software. all of my are resized when i
transfer from my camera to my PC. it's just a habit for me to do
it.
I am moving today but under protest! I too think I'm like the tin
man. Had to clean a bit as it was not dirty so much as just
clutter. So I did dishes, swept the floors, tried to control
living room clutter, made lunch for the kids (my friend Kelly's
daughter is here) and sorta cleaned the bathrooms. Got to vaccum
later as there is sand everywhere.
Roxy,
Notice I'm not in the beach pic!!! Hehehe part of my plan.
I wanted to post the how to separate from my comments. I've seen
groups do pages for their pets and all. All of my critters (past
and present) are on my website. Which I'm supposed to be working
on..oops.
Juliah,
Bastian hasn't had any problems that he has complained about since
right before his appt. So hopefully, there are right and it is just his
age and the fact that he doesn't know how to express tired and achy
from overactivity as anything other than pain. I'm not sure I
believe he doesn't know how to express it....he's a pretty smart cookie
if I do say so myself. This is the child who, when told his
friends dog died, said "Now Bo isn't hurting any more right?" So
I think he can express it. But as long as they are watching him,
I'll be ok with it. As for focusing on me....I got a list half
the size of a piece of copy paper that is my to do list. Mainly
stuff for my yahoo groups. But some of it for here as well, like
posting some of my links in the helpful links section.
hugs , wayney
Yes we're staying on top of it. In light of the good labs and
x-rays, watching is all they want to do now. I am hesitant over
the use of the term growing pains....been there done that myself.
So, unless his pain increases or treating with ibuprofen doesn't work,
I'm trying to tell myself the docs are right. Not to worry and
all that. But, I'm also watching closely.
Yes, Bastian has my eyes. In looks, he very much is my
child. Looks a bit like my half brother actually. I have a
pic of my borther at that age and aside from it obviously being a 1950s
pic, it could be Bastian. I've also got pics of me as a baby that
it's hard to tell it's not Bastian. But, his temperment and
actions are very much his Daddy's. He can be the second most
annoying person in my life onl behind his Daddy and the bad part is
they do it on purpose. They both also admit they are trying to annoy
me. And it works. As for seeing recent pics of
me....ha. They are hidden!
wayney
Awwww....co'mon wayney let me see a fellow annoy'ie....lol. I to am annoyed by hubby on purpose.
Arrgh. Alright. Actually, these are all on my website so I
don't know why I'm reluctant to post one. The prom pic is from,
dare I say it, 10 years ago. And yes that is my big annoyer. The other
pic is 3 years old. Took it about two weeks after I had
Bastian. No recent ones though. We did take a family pic
but it's not been scanned yet.
