Is anyone on Orencia???I was on it for a six month trial at the start of my RA to see if it could stop it progressing. Had no side effects apart from stinging pains all over my body that felt like the static you get if you touch something with rubber soles on but it wasn't sore just weird and they said it might not be related because they had never heard of it before. It was weird i had Palindromic rheumatism which quickly settled into specific joints and became RA and the Orencia gave me back the palindromic RA instead - nice more painful but less scary in terms of damage - I wasn't on MTX but it wasn't a scary drug to take after I got over the initial panic. any questions, fire away.
I Too took Orencia and a high dose of mtx as a clinical study.....No real side effects....but I was on it for almost six months with no real improvement....I had to go out of the study because the mtx made my liver counts go sky high.....I did learn and the Rheummy agreed that it appeared that this drug takes longer to realize any relief than they thought it would he said like six months.

I have had my 4th infusion and I haven't seen any difference in my RA. I have been having a rough time with severe fatigue for a week after the infusion. It is not one of the listed side effects , however, my rheumy told me that it does not doubt it since these type of drugs are so powerful.
