The sun has finally found Michigan! | Arthritis Information

I was beginning to wonder if the sun would ever shine in our neighborhood again or not, then yesterday and today it has been absolutely sunny and wonderful outside.  I have actually dragged out most of my deck furniture (even through the snow drifts that are still in the yard) and enjoyed the sunshine.

The birds are using the bird house and eating all the biscuits I threw out back for them to enjoy, it has been most pleasant! ( biscuits were just a really bad recipe but the birds enjoyed them)*WINK*

While just sitting outside I began to plan my summer projects, fencing and flower garden with lots of bird feeders and bird houses, mulch and new trees........yeah it will be slow going and take me nearly all summer just to "maybe" accomplish the small tasks but it is a beginning!

Hope everyone is able to enjoy beautiful weather, it does the soul good!

We have had a glorious sunny day in the UK too.All my spring bulbs are poking up and the birds have been singing all day. Our clocks go forward at the end of this month so the days will be so much longer and lighter

Our clocks went forward today!  Three weeks earlier than normal.

It is absolutely beautiful here in Missouri.  The birds are driving Dolce nuts.  She doesn't know what to do, chase them or ignore them.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

Lori

You're welcome.

Hahaha, yeah right, right? We had ROBINS in our front lawn the other day! How SPRING-EY is that??

Where I am in MI it is a beaustiful day I have started my walking regiment again, and am getting the winter decorations down.  I still believe MI will have one more, shall I say it, snowstorm before old man winter lets us go.  I have buying new decorations for the yard.  Hey guys the dollar tree stores have some adorable items for a buck apiece for the yard.  I go some cute metal buckets all decorated that I am going to put plants in for the steps.  I am just going to put holes in the bottom of the bucket with nails and a hammer then put stones in there, before putting my new dirt in them.  Here is a technique I learned from one of the garden books last year.  Take a disposable diaper shred the inside of it up and place in your pot then the dirt and your plants.  It is suppose to help keep moisture in the pot longer so you don't have to water as often.  I am glad the weahter is warmer, but I am hoping summer is not a real hot one.  meme

Oh neat idea on the buckets! I never heard of the diaper thing, but I am gonna do that!

Yep, love the spring feeling!

Where are y'all in MI? I am on the West side of the state and it is gorgeous here today as well. I can't wait to start hitting the beach! I am in Michigan too.  (by Flint)  The whole family went out to the cul de sac this afternoon and the kids played and rode bikes.  It was great to see the sun and some warmer weather!  I feel so much better after being in the fresh air too.

Thats a fantastic idea about the diaper in the pot.  We are in drought and are always losing our pot plants cause we can't water them as much as they need.  I'm going to try that when I put out my next lot of plants.  At the moment the only thing alive from about 10 pots on the deck is 1 rose and 2 rosemary plants.  The rest is dry and crispy.  If you guys could send me some of that melting snow that would be much appreciated also.  We are just starting autumn down here and hoping we will get some rain sometime soon.

I am near Portage and it was so wonderful today. The only thing is,when the weather changes it plays havoc with the RA, but I would rather suffer in sunshine than those freezing snow blowing days!
