The last month or so I have been getting "electricuted", I call it that, but hubby & MIL call it shocked. Yeah, it is not them that gets electricuted!
Everytime I get out of a car, I get electricuted. I mean big time too. It leaves the tip of my finger pink and you can see where I got popped. It happens not every once in a while, or every so often, it happens EVERYTIME I get out of the car!
I have been zapped good enough that it has sent a tingle up my arm from my finger to mid-way up my arm. and my finger and hand feeling a little numb.
I think this all might have something to do with my rod, wires, and screws in my left elbow. But I keep getting zapped in my right hand.
I have tried to stop from getting zapped by waiting on hubby to shut my door for me, but if I touch anything else metal I get zapped! I was even shuting the car door with my butt and I would get zapped on my butt!
Will it ever stop?!

I get shocked like that too Joonie. Even when there's no static around. Like..........in the summer when it's 80% humidity. :| Oh Joonie that happens to me also. I live in a very dry climate. Sometimes I can see the blue electricity. In our house we use a humidifier and it does help but the car is another story.Nope not caused from me rubbing my feet on the carpet in the car. I take my shoes off when we get in the car and when I get out I put them out the door and step into them.
I read that site, buckeye, and just confirms to my fears, that I do not want to be outside anytime during any kind of T-Storm. nope nope nope.
Bonny - I have seen the blue spark a many of times. It is freaky.
Dear Bonny, I've heard people have started fires at gas stations when they have the spark and touch the gas nozzle?!! Has anyone else heard this? I wonder if static cling sheets from the laundry would take this away?? Geeze this is a new on on me. Take care. (hurting less but I think I took 3 diuretics instead of 3 prednisones today??? the pill containers are the same and the pills are similar, the diuretic is smaller? I took more prednisone after discovering this!!You'll know when you find yourself dropping more deuces than normal, FeelingBetter
I had to do it. It makes me laugh. Have been waiting for a post to use it on all day LMAO! Thanks, FeelingBetter Boy am I now glad that I don't pump gas! Yikes.
Hurts I hope that you have no bad effects from the med mishap. I finally had to get mine out of the bottles as well. I would find meds in my pockets that I forgot to take and wonder why I hurt so much.
joonie, if you are working up that much static electricity in your car, then, be VERY careful while you fill your car with gas. Recently someone in my city was injured when she got out to fill her car, then sat back inside the car waiting as it filled because it was so cold. When she went back to finish up the fill the gas pump exploded into flames from a stactic elec. spark.
