I am addicted to craigslist.com and today I found something I wanted to pass along

http://newyork.craigslist.org/wch/zip/293046511.html

This is in the free listings dated today for New York City.  There are so many folks who need equipment like this - please call if it can help you and you can get someone to pick it up for you!  Heck, if you're really desperate and live in the NY or CT area, I would be willing to go down to the city and pick it up for you.

Hasn't Deanna been in need of a lift? Not sure how or where she lives thought....but it just might just be worth the shipping.

I'll pitch in for shipping - can you go pick it up Karen? We can get it to Deanna.....one way or another.........I bet lots of us would be willing to chip in on the shipping....it would be nothing between several of us.

Okay, I called the guy and he says ideally you need a full sized van, or if you use a minivan you will basically have to take all the rear seats out, because the unit is so large.

So we need to find out what kind of vehicle Deanna has - I don't have her number, so can someone give her a call?

Hillhoney39154.7365972222Poop. It's a toyota corolla...What did Deanna say? Does she need/want it?Lovie - she has a toyota corolla........it won't work :(

Oh well, I hope there's someone else on the board who could take advantage of this!

Oh; I see. It won't fit on her car to haul the chair. Duh! I'm a dumb-dumb sometimes.....you know that right?

Blonde moment.

I'll keep my ears open.

Thanks for the kind thoughts everyone. It really means a lot to me. I am hopeful that my knees are going to function properly now and maybe, just maybe I won't continue to need the wheelchair. I am still using it and the walker. But I have lots of hope with this one. It was a grand thought and greatly appreciated.
