so i ahve been diagnose with PSA,for months now. but have had several infections so havent been able to start . mtx yet. Just got my tooth pulled out turned into a nightmare. In the mean time i have had terrible back pain radiating down my right leg. my rheumy took x-ray. got my results. "inflamatory arthritis in Right hip. i see her tomorrow. Now i am so scared that this disease is moving fast. In so much pain and fatugue, this is so depressing. i have lost myself in this disease. I am wondering if she will now put me on something other than mtx. My sister has RA, has been on plaquanil for several years and is in remission, maybe thats all i need for my PSA? I read all your posts every day, and have learned so much. deanna you are a increadable person, along with many more of you. Roxy ,you scare me because i am afraid that this happened so quick with you that i may have the same outcome. I have had fibro for many years, and now this. I left my husband of 19 years 2 summers ago to finally start MY life And now this. I have been dating a man for 9 months and have recently told him he may want to bail because i may be crippled and not be the person he met. He tells me he will push me around in a w/c if needed. But i really dont think he knows the extent of this illness. I myself have been in deniel for months. But this hip pain scares me so much i may not be able to work. I am a psychiatric nurse, thank god i am not on my feet all day. but you guys know how just getting to work can become a challenge. Anyway, i guess i am just feed up of the pain and fatuige, and needed to vent. I feel like i know you all so well. i just havent given you guys a chance to know me. When im not in pain i am funny, whitty, a good mom and friend. Now im just Sick.

I'm sorry you are feeling so crappy.  I don't have any huge pieces of advice, but I hope things start an upswing soon. I'm sorry Kel! It really can be depressing, that's part of this whole world. But you WILL get through it, just like the rest of us! But until then, please don't hesitate to pour your heart out, that's what we're here for. Try to get the infections under control and start the MTX - it's been a lot of people miracle drug, it could be yours too.

Just remember, YOU have this disease, it doesn't HAVE you. ;-)

Oh Kel I am so sorry!  Maybe when you can stay on one of the meds things will get easier.  Is PSA Psoriatic Arthritis?  I just went to my rheumy Monday and he is really leaning towards that Dx.

Take care.

Hi,
I don't have any great words of wisdom; just wanted to tell you to
hang in -- there are lots of great meds out there.

Welcome.

bonny, psa is psoriatic arhtritis. I really dont have much of the psoriasis, just a couple spots that get red sometimes, one in my belly button and one my coccyx. the arthritis part of it is whats cause ing the problems, and the fautiuge, well and the fibro. i see my rhuemy tomorrow i am thinking about asking her if she will prescribe me mtx in the shot instead of oral. i have a sensative stomache already, and have pleanty of nurse friends that will give me the shot.  thank you all for your reasurance and caring, it means alot.

You sound overwhelmed! Stress in our lives can really stir this up! We all must take a deep breath every day (morning) with our coffee, medications and get a plan for the day, month, year, 5 years. Plan a reasonable future with this 'stuff' in it. The Helpful Hints postings have been terrific, so please read them. So many cool ideas. Take it one day at a time. Hurting less thse days, but still working at the meds. It takes a long time for them to do their job!! Prednisone until the MTX & remicade kick in! ! Be well
