I went to the Dr. yesterday. Things haven't been going great , lots of pain and swelling and stiffiness. He told me if I felt really bad I could take my Embrel on a Monday and again on Thursday . This is the once a week dose . Has anyone else been told this by your RA Doc ? Just wondering before I kill myself or something.
My doc had me take enbrel 3 times a week (25mg dose). I did this for 3-4 months then switched to remicade.
I don't think you will 'get killed'. But I would not take high doses long term (months on end).
You won't kill yourself. Like Marion I did the high dose thing alsofor a time. I know of other people who do 50mg 2x per wk alsoActually, I think in the Embrel literature, it says that they have been unable to create an overdose. Which is a good thing for now, especially if it works. Now in 10 years, when we all grow extra appendages as a result.....(just kidding!!)
