Hi everyone, I have just "fallen" into a flare after a week of NO pain or fatigue. Just wondering where do flares come from? Is there something that sets them off? I appreciate your input..many thanks

Figure that one out and you will be famous

Seriously, it can be from many different things....fatigue, stress, infection, some say foods, environmental aspects.

Sorry you are in a flare..

Lori

I just asked my rheumy that this past Monday.  Of course the answer was it can be anything, lol.Hormones is another to add to the list.  Some have found a relationship between their monthly period cycles and flares.  I'm wondering if it's the reason for the end of my pain-free/fatigue-free month.

I'm sorry that you are feeling the pain and fatigue again too.
When we feel good and pain free, we begin to think of ourselves as Wonder Woman and push the envelope too far.  Then, we crash and burn(flare).

Weather changes can cause flares also.

For those of you that live where it snows in winter and rains in spring, summer, fall....do you feel your flares are worse with snow or with rain?

Gramma~for me it is definitely rain.  The snow didn't really affect me at all.

Thanks for the reply. At least I know I am not alone in this. I do know when I feel good ; I do everything I usually can't do. take care, RainFor me the changing of seasons is the worst. Primarily spring and fall. I am in a flare right now and have been for about a month.
