Hi all, for the last week I have had pins & needes and slight stiffness in ring and little finger on my left hand. This is worse when using my hand. Anyone know what this might be? Still on 10mg Pred for last 14 months, last Sed rate 11 and going to see Rheumy next month hopefully to start reducing Pred. I am a little scared by this even tho I hate the obvious side effects and still have occassional bad days. Hope this is a good day to you all. You all keep me informed and amused with your posts and humour! LynI get pins and needles and numbness from time to time. Also sore fingers and wrists. I think it is the PMR. It is sometime associated with carpal tunnel but lately it hasn't been as bad. I am always noticing weird and wild things that are happening to my body from time to time. Cramps in my legs and feet, sore ribs, wrists, upper arms etc. I don't know whether it is the PMR or the pred??? Don't let your imagination run away with you though. It used to be everytime I got a headache I was convinced that I was suffering from Giant Cell arterisis. Although I am aware of the possibility, sometimes it is just a headache. The other thing I thought is that if the blood vessels in our muscles are swelling maybe they are putting pressure on some nerves hence the tingling and numbness. I'm just speculating of course. Anyway good luck and if you get an answer let us know.
Hello to all. I got my fingers pins & needles question answered today! The Dr pushed gently on my elbow and Yep that's where its coming from. Fatty deposit ... from Pred... pushing on the ulnar nerve!!! Wanted to share this cause its nice to get an answer to something with this mysterious, incidious PMR! Seems Pred can cause fatty deposits in a lot of different places, not just the ones that are really noticable like face, neck, stomach ect..Grrrrrr I hate being this ugly
