i was diagnosed with RA SOME MONTHS BACK....
i think i have nodules coming out on my right wrist....
its really so depressing to see this..need all the encouragment and support
Ashu , Where on your wrist is the nodule located ? If it is on the top , It coulld be a ganglon cyst. They usually are harmful. Some Dr. will remove they in outpatient surgery. I had alot of problems with my wrist. The Hand Dr . removed about a one inch piece of bone from eash wrist so the smaller bones would have some room to move. I had broken each wrist several times doing simple things like pulling towels out of the washer, picking up a bag of trash , ect.... My Dr wrote a script pf a front load washer because they don't have an agigator in them. Since The dr wrote the script we were able to use the purchase as a tax deduction as medically necessary. They aren't cheap but it has helped a great deal. the clothes weigh less because it spins nearly all of the water out of them. Clothes can't tangle around the agigator .
I definitely would get it checked out further and not assume what it is. As cheermom said, it can be quite troublesome and even wreck your wrists. I've had other friends with the cyst problems and it caused both a great deal of pain and limited their use of their hands.
Do not let someone whack what they consider a cyst with a book in order to break it up. That can cause worse problems including the cyst coming back.
I'm still hoping someone comes up with more info for you on nodules. You can do a search on nodules and read other threads about those. Also, you can do an image search on Google or Yahoo to see pictures of nodules and cysts. This might help you in deciding what to do.
But I think getting at least a consult from a hand specialist is an excellent idea. I know you are worried and don't want to take any chances with this problem.

I googled for images of rheumatoid nodules - there are some pretty shocking images there, just the job for supper time
