Got Services | Arthritis Information

I cannot believe it.  I feel bad telling so many who have not gotten services but I am amazed.  I get 49 hours worth of help each month.  Anything around the house (housekeeping) or for me personally, help dressing, combing my hair out, etc.  Shopping AND errands.  This is going to take SO MUCH pressure off of Brett

Also, the lady called today that also has RA.  I advertised to start a support group and we are going to start one locally. I was sleeping and out of it but I am going to call her back.  Wow,  REAL HUGZ

The weather has been wonderful springlike and I can't wait to get well enough to go back out and garden.  I bought a book on waterfalls and ponds so I can get the waterfall going again Congrats on the services!!!  I keep telling a certain someone that we both know and love it is her state that she lives in.  And I gave examples of how my husband and I struggled there.

You need the services and I am happy for you that you got them!  Things are looking up and going very well for you.  I am happy for that!  And ummm so will any other of your true friends be happy for you too.

*nudge nudge* You don't need that whole 49 hours do you? Can you share her? LMAO I'm glad you got someone! You deserve it!! Thank you so so much.  I can't believe I am finally getting help.  Now I can spend more quality time with my family and focus on getting my body back in shape.  I have been seriously thinking about a wheelchair as I am so impatient about getting outside in this gorgeous spring weather, I would like to go for "walks" even if it has to be on a handicap path.  I am going to look into renting one.  I so miss the outdoors and today I just ran errands to get services and had to sleep the rest of the day.  My body has few spoons

I'm so kidding. I'm happy for you hunny!!! *hugs*

That's awesome!

Whoo Hooo for You!

Roxy,

Am so pleased that at long last things are looking up for you.  The services will be a great help to you (and to Brett!) Might take a while to work out the wisest use for the hours.  Don't overdo things in the garden and around the house will  you!!  lol!   but it is wonderful that the medic. you are on is working well.

Roxy, I'm so pleased that everything seems to be coming together for you.  And really a great time of year for it as well.  New life and warmth, enjoy!!!!Wow!! I am so glad for you.

Roxy, I am both eternally happy and eternally jealous. But you absolutely need these services, no question. I am thrilled that you are getting that number of hours. Definitely worth celebrating.

You should see if you can get some kind of chair approved by your doctor. You need to get a script and a sent down evaluation by the doctor. Check with your insurance to see what the requirements are. But if I could get one that would go out of my house and into my car, I would be going out to places now. Go for it.

And you guys are right about the state I am in. But I cannot just pick up and move to somewhere without any kind of supports. They kind of have me stuck with that. I do need to have a place to live and food, etc. So that means I have to wait until I get SS. But after that I can consider other places. But I know you would counter and say that I would get the services sooner if I lived in another state. True. I would agree. But I don't have any family that lives anywhere that the services are better.

For know, I am stuck with the nightmare.

Yes, I got approved 8 hrs per month. I have seen exactly 1 hour of that since it was approved in January. I have made multiple calls each week and still I am just on a list somewhere.

Sweetheart - We are like sisters and I have a spare bedroom

Take care,
