Hi everyone,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I've been thinking of you all. I don't get on the internet to often as I have a cap on my internet usage. I'm still on disability, can't walk to well, and have trouble with my hands, shoulders, back, and feet. Can't get my meds as I have no insurance. I'm trying to get on SSD. Hopefully, this will solve some of my problems.

My total knee replacement is doing well but all of the other arthritic joints don't help me.

Hope you all have a nice Spring.

(my old screen name was Marisa Sue)

Glad to hear from you Marisa.  Re you applying for any help to get your meds again?  I hate to think of what you are going thru not having meds.  It makes me sad.

Glad the knee is doing well.  Now we just have to convince the other joints to do well also.

Aww marisa! We've missed you! As lizzie said, I'm glad your knee is cooperating...now to just get everyone else to fall in line!!

Rest much and I'll be thinking of you. Hope help comes along your way soon!!! *hugs*

HELLO:

I am new here and I like reading all of these letters from RA sufferers like me.

Your letter caught my attention because it said you do not have insurance so you cannot get any meds for your arthritis....go to Free Meds.com and fill out the form and they will send you some information on how to get your meds for free from the companies that manufacture them.   There is no need for you to suffer from RA.  There is also a toll-free phone number for you to call them and they will ask you questions about your illness and they will help you.  I did it last year for my 87 year old father-in-law and he is receiving some (not all) of his meds now from them.  They were very helpful to us.  It's worth a try.

Please let me know how you make out, ok.

Marissa!!!!!! Yeah!!! I have missed you. Sorry you still are not doing well but I am awfully glad to see you back with us. I'm glad you're not going to try to work any more. You are truly somebody that gave it her all before quitting work.

Oh, I am just thrilled to see you again.

Thanks to all. I've tried to keep a positive outlook.

Sara in Pa, I'll check out the website for the free meds. I need my meds!

Have to go now as my timer is about to go off and I want to be able to talk to all of you tomorrow.

Thanks again,

I have missed you Marisa.  Sounds like you are having some tough challenges.  Marisa, I keep seeing this thing on tv that if you do not have prescription insurance, there is help out there.  Maybe someone on the board knows of this commercial.  The pharmaceutical companies can help.  Maybe that freemeds website Sara suggested.   Please stick around.  You are so welcome here.  You have always been such a sweetheart and I know there are many of us who would like to know how you are doing.  I finally got my SSD so don't give up hope.  It is such a relief when it happens.  So much fear is gone.  It will happen for you.

Next thing I know is that work is sending me a check every pay period and taking out for my insurance. In the meantime, HR is billing me for my insurance too. They kept telling me that if I didn't pay it, then I would lose my insurance. So I paid them.

Now, they are telling me that, it's beyond the 3 mo. period and that I will be going on COBRA for the month of April. I got another bill from my work place telling me that I needed to pay my insurance from the first of January, 07. I called and explained that I had allready paid it and that I had the stubs to prove it. Then I told them about the COBRA and explained that I needed to pre- pay that for hte month of April. Now they are telling me that it's from another company and that they don't handle that.

Damn, forgive me for the wording, but what a mess this is. I don't know if I'll have my insurance for the month of April as I was going to pay the full price until I could find something else or get on a program for low income people.

I don't need all of this stress as my little check doesn't begin to pay my rent and I'm quickly using up my savings.

Thanks for letting me vent.

HELLO EVERYONE:
