I am being plagued with the worse back ache and pelvic pain, do any of you out there have the same problem? I am on 10 mg of pred., down from 30 when the pmr started about 14 months ago, trying to get off the pred but can not seem to get any lower than 10 without really feeling terrible. I do not feel great on the 10 but am trying not to increase. I also have pain in the neck and shoulders, but the lower back and pelvic is a killer.
Also have constant sinus problems, light headed, dizzy, runny nose, heavy head. is this a different thing or any thing to do with pmr?

Hi Georgiana...Sorry to hear you are having so much pain. I don't know how old you are or if you are taking calcium supplements,fosamax etc, but one of the side effects of prednisone is osteoporosis which might be a factor in your back pain. Have you had a bone scan recently? I don't the the sinus problems are related to PMR but am certainly not an expert on the subject. Hope you start to feel bette soon...warm hugs your way..gmama
