I heard recently, that 80 percent of your immune system is effected by your stomach...2 years before I contracted RA, I had stomach issure from hell. I still have problems but not like before.. I am wondering...could this have been the start of something big?? lol There is a link between stomach disorders and arthrities. Actually,
inflammatory Bowel Disease has arthritis as one of the symptoms.

I have IBS along with a few ulcers a few years back that caused me some major bleeding and the need to be hospitalized for a few days along with a blood transfusion because I lost so much blood....... very painful and very not fun, but then again, what is?

I had a major gastrointestinal infection that led me straight into the
"mysterious" joint pains and stiffness. Diagnosed with RA about 9
months after the gastro infection.

I'm a believer about the stomach connection.
