Here are some pictures of the inside of the house. You can tell it is old. The entire house is tounge & groove wooden walls & floors as well as the ceilings, except the kitchen and bathroom.

This is the infamous garden tub that I cannot use, which as of yesterday has made it way out of the bathroom and is now laying on the pool deck.

This is the HIDIOUS panling that is throughout the small bathroom.

This picture is what it looks like standing in the tub. The door to the right leads into what will be daughters room, and then the other dark area is a make-shift storage area. *shrugs shoulders* There are 2 doors in the bathroom, one that leads in from daughters room and the other that comes in from the dining room. Father in-law says that bathroom use to be a Hallway with 4 doors in it. They think the house was set up as a duplex in the 1920-1930's.

These are the original french doors that were installed when the house was built. They join the living room and the dining room. some of the glass is running from being old. See the BLUE walls?! That color scheme is in both the living room and the dining room and even what is going to be daughters room is those blue tones.... EWWW!!

This is the living room fireplace and the whole wall you see when you wall in from the foyer. See the BLUE?? Isn't it UGLY?!

This is the master bedroom fireplace and the small doored make-shift closet. And the wall color is a pastel green YUK!!! And the border is ok as I helped MIL put it up when I was preggo with daughter

I love the french doors, they are so awesome.  I can't wait to see the pics after you are moved in and put your own touches on it.

Phatgirl

LMAO Do you hate the blue joonie? Just a little bit? I like the house more and more. I love old houses! No one builds houses with neat rooms and stuff like that anymore!

Oh we have begun painting the livingroom as our couch is going up there tomorrow. So... we are going to go finish painting tonight and it should be dry by tomorrow. I have started painting the fireplace in the master bedroom and will paint the rest of the room when my feet can take it. Hubby is growing tired of painting he wants to get back to working on the bathroom as it is now bare floors and walls nothing in there because he pulled it all out because he has to rearrange some of piping for the new RA friendly shower

Just think ya'll have not even got to see the pictures of the pink kitchen LMAO! I am trying to hold out on taking a picture of that room until I really need to. We are not going to paint the kitchen, as we like to of killed over today just painted the livingroom and still have not finished painting it! It is hard to paint old, cracky, gappy wooden walls

The master bedroom should be easier to paint as it does not have all the windows and doors like the livingroom does.

There are a total of 14+ doors in that house, either leading into the house or throughout the house and there are at least 2 doors covered up by panaling that father in-law covered up! We are thinking of uncovering the covered up doors and turning them into built in shelving units for towels and display area.

Funny thing is... we have not even started packing to move up there yet LMAO! We are waiting until the bathroom gets up back together and the walls are all painted in the bedrooms and living and dining rooms.

P.S.  An old old OLD house is not the right type of house for a person with JRA and not on all their meds, heck even if they are on all their meds

NO, I do not hate the BLUE as much as MIL

ps Do as much of the work sitting down as you can  - scoot on a secretary type chair or borrow the kid's wagon. You will be surprised how much energy it saves. Your DH will be pleased you are helping. Even if he does do almost all the work. (Mine always is thrilled when I help with big jobs - I don't know why - sometimes all I do is fetch tools and hold stuff.)

LOL that one pic of your daughter almost looks like you have her locked up LOL

I love old houses like that...Cant believe you dont like that blue

Very exciting stuff!  Thanks for sharing your pictures!

Well, the bathroom is might scary right now. Hubby just put up the new paneling aka luan was the cheapest a panel and is paintable and we only needed 7 sheets so was pretty cheap.

We painted the living room Ocean Fog which looks kinda grey, but it changes from a grey blue to a grey green depending on the light conditions, and the wall were the fireplace is, was painted a different color peakcock plume. It is the color that my favorite shirt that got messed up was and I could not find another shirt in that color or like it so I set out to paint a wall that color. The bathroom will probably be painted the peacock plume since I still have over a half gallon of paint.

I will post more updated pictures later. I need to remember to take the camera up to the house and then feel like uploading, resizing and posting them when I get home
