Has anyone had an elevated blood glucose level while taking mobic?

Thanks

I've been on Mobic almost a year.  Was having some bad headaches and my Rheumy took me off temporarily.  Tried some other ones but they caused bad stomach pain and "The Trots".  Went back on Mobic.  I have blood tests every month and she hasn't mentioned anything unusual to me.  You having problems?

Yes, I am trying to figure out why my blood sugar has been constantly creeping up.  I am now almost in the diabetic range.

I know, that some anti-inflammatories cause an elevated blood glucose level, so I was just wondering about Mobic.

I do have a strong family history of diabetes - so it could just be something that is happening on its own.

I am trying to fight it - but it is catching up with me.

I think prednisone will cause elevated blood glucose too. Yes, prednisone does cause elevated blood glucose. Are you on prednisone too?

No, I am not on prednisone.

All of this problem with the blood glucose level started after I had a hip replaced,  Now I am on Mobic for the other hip - it will need to be replaced in the next few yesrs.

I am also on atenolol, hydroclorothiazide, mevacor

I wonder if they react funny with Mobic?

mOBIC IS AN ANTIINFLAMMATORY AND TO MY KNOWLEGE DOES NOT AFFECT BLOOD SUGAR.   I'D CALL YOUR DR ASAP!

Thanks,  My doctor is aware of this problem - we are trying diet to control it.
