Has anyone had nodules either disappear or appear when specifically on arava or any other RA drug? Is there a drug that gets rid of them? I had some that disappeared when I was on arava. I got new ones when I was off it but am having dispepsia problems back on the arava and don't think I can continue with it, particularly when I'm not certain whether the arava got rid of the nodules in the first place!You should get plenty of responses on this one Sarita. I have never had nodules luckily. WELCOME to a great group of people.

I can't answer your question either. My son had a nodule when he was very young. It appeared suddenly and disappeared just a mysteriously as it came. I don't know how meds effect them though.

Definition: A collection of tissue appearing
as a knot or knob in the skin, not uncommon in rheumatoid arthritis.
Rheumatoid nodules are seen in 20-30% of rheumatoid arthritis patients.
They may occur anywhere on the body, but are most often seen over the
bony prominences.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on whether Arava caused them to go away
or not. From various things I've read, they can come and go on
their own and that there is no specific treatment for them.
