I was wondering if anyone else gets paranoid or more forgetful when they have a lot of inflammation and taking pred?
I noticed after my almost year long stint of taking just 5mg of pred made me paranoid and very forgetful, but I do not think it was just the pred... I think all the inflammation I had at the time was a contributing factor as more than likely the inflammation was around my brain too, because when I finally got to see an RD... I have inflammation in my muscles and had to stop taking pred for a while.
Oh and when I am on 15mg pf pred I tend to get a lil' paranoid, but not as forgetful as when my meds are working. I am also that way on 10mg of pred, but tends to take a lil longer before the paranoia sets in... maybe 2 months.
SO... the question is...
Can you have inflammation on your brain? I mean that is what RA does when it attacks your vital organs it causes inflammation in them, right? I am not sure. Just asking so I know.
I know when I have more inflammation than my body can tolerate is when I start to get more forgetful and just lose track my days completely. It is like everything is just one big blur. Then when my meds kick in I am ok and have a semi-good memory and actually know what day it is
