Howdy ya'll,

I look forward to learning and sharing with you all on this journey.

OK, I'll bite--what's a glider girl?  Are we talking about hang gliding, glider airplanes....(?)

Welcome, glad you have joined us!

We're glad your here and hope you'll join in the discussion now that you've surfaced.

Welcome Robin...you're in good company here. We've got several friends here with RA & Fibro and you'll find lots of support here to what is no doubt a difficult challenage.

Again; Welcome Robin. We'll all be looking forward to getting to know you better.

Lovie

Well I do have two human children, a boy who is 11 and a girl who is 8.

My gliders are Sugar gliders.  They are marsupials from Australia, but mine were bred here in the US.  They are nocturnal which makes them good pets for me due to all my sleepless RA nights.  They keep me company while everyone else sleeps. lol!  I hope everyone has a fun and pain free 4th of July!

Welcome to the group. It'll be fun to learn about Gliders. How many do you have and are you able to handle them and interact? We once had a skunk, Blossom, from 6 weeks until she died at 8 years. Every year during the breeding season she wouldn't let my son come anywhere near her, I could still handle her, and it was his pet. LOL

BarboKKKKKK I give...what is a glider????welcome!  i'm wayney.  28 yrs old...well it's all in my sig line.  i am another ra/fibro person.  lucky us huh?  i debate which i hate worse despite having learned a lot from both.
hugs, wayney

Hi Glidermom!! Welcome to the board!!

I always wanted to get a sugar glider...but I had a germ phobia...lol...plus I do not think it would be able to live in my single-wide before it died of heat stroke. I have to have outisde pets. We have had fish commit suicide. We bought some kind of "shark" and it was summer time and we are hardly ever home thru the day or we weren't...lol...and we came home and found the shark laying on the carpet. It jumped out of its little aquarium and landed on the carpet. So, in a sense it commited suicide...lol. Yes, sad but true.

WELCOME TO THE BOARDS!!!!!

It is always nice to see a new face!!!!  Jooniper, my boss's daughter has a sugarglider, it is just the cutest thing.  Her daughter carries it around in her purse!!!!  lololol  I wouldn't want though I already have a houseful of nuerotic animals.   meme

Hi all,

We have quite afew pets here, 2 cats , 2 dogs, 2 gliders, lots of fish, a fancy rat and a bearded dragon.  I used to rehab orphaned squirrels, so I used to a house full. LOL!  I also homeschool my kids and have frequent human visitors.

I have 2 gliders, Luna and Stella.  I hold them and carry them in a "bonding pouch", basicly a sugar glider  purse.  They were not sure of me when I first got them, but they have learned to trust and love me. Glider central is a really cool website if you want to see a picture.  I think they are the cutest!

Thank you all for such a warm welcome, it is good to know I am not alone.  My family are wonderful, but they just don't understand why I am not "cured" yet.  Or why I can't take a pill and feel all better.

At least here you all understand that it is not that easy, and while somedays are great some are a drawn out struggle just to keep up with the normal folks, is there such a thing?

Hi robin, welcome aboard. Still no idea what sugar gliders are ( or bearded dragons for that matter!!) but it sounds like you have some really cool pets. So, once again, Welcome.

Hi Robin,

You've found a wonderful place for support and answers, glad you finally joined us on the boards. It also took me awhile to post myself because I was to shy, but I had been reading the post for years.

Come and visit us often, and take care of those pets!

Shawnie
