Today my mind is wide awake/alert but my body feels totally drained, as though it just wants to give in.

Yesterday I maybe overdid it. I have a large collection of Hershey's tins on the top of my kitchen cabinets and decided I shouldn't put off any longer in cleaning the tins and the cabinets. This meant many trips up and down my step stool to remove the tins and to put them back after I cleaned each one and the top of the cabinets.

Still had all this energy so I proceeded to take all the containers out of our storage area in the basement that our summer clothes are packed in. Then I cleaned out the closets, placed all the winter clothing in the containers and then put all the containers back into the storage area.

Also, took my big dog for a long walk.  Maybe I overdid it. Anyway about 10PM the aching and hurting began so I took a tramadol. By midnite I wasn't feeling better so I took another tramadol. My rheumy had told me that I could take two at a time.

Looking back perhaps it was a mistake to take two tramadol pills so close together, since I tend to be sensitive to a good many drugs and allergic to a number of others. Anyway I was awake all night tossing and turning, getting up and pacing, etc. Did the hurts ever go away? Yes, about 5AM and then because I get up every morning with my DH I was up at 6:30AM. Tried to sleep but that didn't happen.

So don't know if it's because I overdid the activities or because I took two tramadol pills that I feel this way.  Any opinions?  Take Care

Well I'd say we definately react differently to medications. I WAY over did it last Friday night. I was having a shower for my best friend who's getting married in May so I grocery shopped and prepared food and got ready for the party until 1:00am Saturday morning. By the time I made my way upstairs to bed I was in tears I was in so much pain. I took two tramodals and a muscle relaxer and layed in bed crying and watching TV. About 40 minutes of laying on the heating pad I could feel my body finally beginning to relax. About an hour and a half later I was about to go to sleep; but I was comfortable; didn't budge for the rest of the night.

I hear a lot of people talking about how Tramodal jacks them up and doesn't make them sleepy or relaxed; but that's not my experience. I take two at a time quite often and OCCATIONALLY if the pain doesn't subside I'll take a third one two hours later; but that's rare.

How are you feeling now? Are you really sore? If not you might be right. It could have been the meds.

Hope things are better for you soon.

Watchingwolf it would be my opinion that you WAY overdid it!  I do understand as now you can look back and be proud of what you accomplished.  My you sure got a lot done!  I hope that you feel and sleep better soon.
