I was told to try this | Arthritis Information

Ok, I am one of those individuals who ruin the can opener, vacume cleaners only work for so long, and anything battery powered has a shorter shelf life with me. I do not know why. I go through can openers and coffee makers at a rediculous rate.

So, our hairdresser told me to research this and it is concerning cellular health and health for RA.

This concerns me...wonder if it is like the copper bracelet thing?

Volcanic Mineral Defends the Health of Your Cells

One hundred million years ago, volcanoes rose from the sea, dividing continents, creating mountains and forming much of the land as we know it. As these volcanoes erupted, molten lava and thick ash poured into the sea. The combination of thick ash and the salt from the sea caused a chemical reaction, and over thousands of years, precious minerals like zeolites began to form in the hardened lava.

What's a Zeolite & How Does It Work?

For centuries, the powdered forms of specific zeolites have been used as traditional remedies throughout Asia to promote overall health and well being. The story of the "volcanic rocks" has been passed down from generation-to-generation as more and more people have experienced its life-changing benefits.

Zeolites are natural volcanic minerals with an unique, complex crystalline structure. It's honeycomb framework of cavities and channels (like cages) works at the cellular level trapping, heavy metals and toxins. In fact, because it is one of the few negatively charged minerals in nature, zeolites act as magnets drawing toxins to it, capturing them in its cage and removing them from the body.

Clinical Trials/ Studies

The following are a list of clinical trials and studies currently underway on Waiora's products. Results from these studies will be posted here at the conclusion of the trial or study pending formal publishing of the trial or study in peer-reviewed medical journals.

NOTE: The following are the only clinical studies recognized by the Company. Waiora realizes that any researcher has the right to conduct their own trials. There are many third-party studies being conducted that may be published that are not recognized or funded by the Company.

Natural Cellular Defense:

Natural Cellular Defense therapy in healthy individuals without chronic exposure to heavy metal toxins.
A short-term (7-day) trial in five individuals to evaluate changes in urinary excretion of heavy metals. Urinary excretion was measured with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS).

Natural Cellular Defense therapy in healthy individuals and short-term "non-responders" without chronic exposure to heavy metal toxins
An intermediate-term (30-day) trial in twenty (20) individuals to evaluate changes in urinary excretion of heavy metals. Urinary excretion was measured with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS).

Natural Cellular Defense therapy in otherwise healthy individuals with chronic, employment-related exposure to heavy metal toxins (WV Coal Miners)
A long-term (84-day), blinded, clinical trial in fifty (50) individuals to evaluate changes in urinary excretion of heavy metals and determine longevity of the effect. Urinary excretion was measured with Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). Additionally, hair and saliva was collected at the beginning and the end of the trial and measured for heavy metal content.

Electrolyte levels with the use of Natural Cellular Defense
A trial to evaluate changes in vital serum electrolytes in healthy individuals following 30-day Natural Cellular Defense therapy.

Exercise recovery with Natural Cellular Defense
A trial to evaluate the effect of Natural Cellular Defense therapy on post-workout recovery-time in competitive athletes vs. non-competitive participants.

PH balancing with Natural Cellular Defense
A trial to evaluate the effect of short- vs long-term Natural Cellular Defense therapy on serum and salivary pH in healthy and compromised individuals.

Superior Fiber Blend:

Use of Superior Fiber Blend by individuals with diabetes mellitus and hypercholesterolemia
A 90-day trial to evaluate changes in hemoglobin-A1c and serum cholesterol.

Wow...179 bucks for this stuff!!!  WOW!!!  Please remember to check your doc before taking this.  Actually, with RA, our immune systems do not need support. Ours are over
active, our meds should suppress our immune systems to stop the RA.

So I recommend you don't waste your money.

Hairdressers, friends and family who don't have RA and do not have a
medical education, are not the proper people to give advise concerning our
condition.

BeeMy best health advice comes from my colonic/energy balancing massage therapist who has me on core bile and other specialized herbs.  I trust him more than a moron doctor.

Yeah well I have to agree with Beebee............I get so weary of the "peer pressure"

No copper bracelets or herbs or anything else for me. Thanks for your input. The last thing I want to do is increase an already overfunctioning immune system.

Besides, as of today I have no insurance until I can find some....so i have to pay for all meds and Dr. appts. out of my mom's already depleting account.....her meds cost money too and she has insurance...........and insurance is due on the car....ect. blah, blah, blah....and we need a new car...blah, blah, blah.

Like I have another 0  to spend! lol

Aren't helpful friends the greatest? I mean they have good intentions and all but they just have no idea!

You have to be very careful with anything that alters or eliminates metals
from your body. chelation therapy can be deadly if not done properly and
we just don't know how it will interact with the meds we are on. I know nothing about this therapy and am not defending it at all, but I feel
it's important to point out that "autoimmunity"---the idea we have an over
active immune system and our bodies are attacking ourselves---is
completely unproven and theoretical. No one knows what causes RA. I'm also trying something that sounds like it is suppose to do that same thing, but this is a mattress pad, called a conductive mattress pad.I have ask on another forum if the people on there thought this could work and most of them mad fun of me for even asking. and also thought that I was a spammer.

I thought RA was in part caused from a defective gene...or did new researchers disprove that theory? I  researched RA extensively when in college and there is a tremendous amount of research that does support the theory of the body's immune system being overactive. I was initially dx due to synovial cysts on my hands as large as golf balls and had to have my hands, tendons and all restructured due to the damage and  immense malformation of my hands/tendons.

Most people have tendons that are solid sheaths, mine are hollow. I was told then that RA is from the immune system basically attacking our soft tissue.

Maybe all that has been changed, and there are new theories out there now, I just haven't been keeping up much on all the research. Either way it is painful, expensive, and life altering.I have always hated this disease.

I have always been extremely choosey about what meds I take, just ask my RD, bless his heart he always had to defend any meds I take then I always had to research it.

It's known that there's a genetic element, and it's agreed there may be a
gene that predisposes someone to RA, (or it may
cause it, although at the moment that looks unlikely). There are numerous
theories as to why people get RA, and autoimmunity is the currently
favoured one, but the fact is it's not the only theory and no one knows. I
wish someone did know because then it would be a lot easier to find a cure.
Right now everything is geared towards symptom management.Gimpy-a-gogo39172.4246875Gimpy, I agree with you, no one knows whats causing RA. No one in my family had it. And I dont know if I agree that it is my over active immune system.

I do think it's important to educate yourself and read as much as possible. The Doctors will only prescribe what the pharmaceutical companys make.
None of the doctors will tell you to change to a organic diet or anything natural.
I wonder how many posters have read Randall Fitzgerald's book (The 100 year Lie? ) I found it so interesting. I hope some of you have read it. You might be able to find it at your library.
