Prayer Request for Our Golden "Sam" | Arthritis Information

 

I would like to request prayer for my Golden Retreiver "Sam" he is in the vet hospital fighting for his life. He began vomiting around midnight on Thursday. Friday morning we noticed onions in his vomit. Knowing that onions can be dangerous for dogs we took him to the vet. It turns out he is suffering from Antifreeze poisoning! From what has come out of him we believe someone has poisoned him. They apparently made him some kind of stew.. anyway we have had Sam since he was six weeeks old, and he will be four this November. He is such a big part of our family. My daughter is so attached and so worried about him. He is the sweetest dog and loves everyone. He is a big love sponge Thanks to anyone that will lift our boy up in prayer.

Oh Ginni,  I'm so sorry!! :( That's terrible!! Who would poison him??? I hope he makes it...........and I hope you find out who did it!!!

Praying for him....and your family. What an awful thing to have to go through. Who ever did this to him should be fed anti freeze themselves.

Ginni: Yes, I am praying for your "Sam" and of course Sam's people. Most people regard a dog as a pet when in reality they are our guardians.  There is an age old adage which states "what goes around, comes around."  I sincerely believe this to be true and do honestly hope you will be fortunate in finding who it was who hurt Sam.

We had a golden retreiver named "Beau." We adopted him when he was around 1yr old from the dog pound. We were lucky to have him for 11 years.  We had to put him down 2 years ago due to congestive heart failure.

They are such a loving and sweet breed, how awful that there are people in this world that will do these kinds of things.

I will continue to pray for you and your family.
 

That is just horrifying Ginni.  I am so sad for you and your family.  I'm glad you were quick to catch on that something was seriously wrong and not just dismiss it.  I hope and pray he makes a full recovery.

I know you probably don't want to deal with this right now, but I think you should make a police report about this.  There may be other animals in your area who have been or will be poisoned.

Oh, how horrible. Our kitty was poisoned with antifreeze many years ago.
Our neighbors did it. We were not able to catch it in time. I know that the
vet will do all they can to save him. I cannot believe there are people out
there that are so cruel and would do this to a poor helpless animal. My
thoughts are with you at this time.

Oh Ginni I am so sorry.  I will be praying for Sam and for you guys also. 

I hope you find out who did this to your beloved family member.  Please file a police report so hopefully another family will  not have to endure this also.

What kind of a monster would harm an animal?  You are all in my prayers.  I hope Sam is okay.

What's stopping this person from moving onto poisoning a child?
Sorry about Sam. I hope that he recovers. It is a criminal offense to do this to an animal. Absolutely report it.

I am so sorry to hear about your  Sam. Please report this. This person must be stopped. No one should be able to walk away from something like this .
