Well, I guess it wouldn't take much to test the theory, but I don't expect it to be valid.  My guess is that the author wrote the testimonials himself to sell more books.  But who knows - it's not like it would cost you anything to give this a try.

I know there are vegetarians on this board, but do we have any true vegans who do not drink milk or use any dairy products?

I found it interesting because I dont drink milk and have replaced it with soy milk. Only thing is I still do butter and find that a lot of probucts have whey in it which comes from milk. Anyway my stomach blows up when I drink milk and I have other unmentionable problems.  So Like you say, it dosent take much to test this out. I should strt checking all the stuff I eat and give up the butter.

I'll let you know what happens after 1 month. Hey, I am willing to try anything to have less flares.
Alrighty - well.

I'm lactose intolerant. And I'm in a flare. Only every now and again do I sneak cheese in, and only a slice at a time. (anything more tears my stomach up)

Sooooooooooooo I guess at the very least, it's not true for me!
Yeah, I can't drink milk and rarely have anything related to it for the same reason as Katie.

Food allergies can exagerbate symptoms. Anything that turns your immune system on is going to do that. So if you have an allergy, your immune system goes into hyperdrive and since it doesn't know how to turn itself off----well, I guess it would cause you to flare. But that's a one on one solution. If you're not allergic to milk, is it going to help you? I have my doubts.
Yes, That makes so much sense. Am I going to spend my whole life looking for a cure?

I think milk and dairy in general causes many problems with our bodies. It
is really hard on the GI tract and many other systems. I absolutely love dairy
products but I may just see if not consuming them makes a difference in
how I feel. If you are going to give up dairy to try this, make sure you read
labels because there is dairy in many things we eat that we don't realize. Thinkthin, I just started drinking soy milk. I love the chocolate silk milk but
am too chicken to try any others. Which ones do you use?You know when I think about dairy products, I think of all of the bad things that they feed cattle and they are all injected with hormones and antibiotics which of course infiltrates the meat and the milk. Even the grass in open fields is saturated with acid rain and sometimes pesticides. So it's no wonder that our docs tell us not to eat much meat, especially pregnant women.  I also read an article about 8 and 9 old girls that are experiencing puberty and I believe it's because of the hormones in cattle. Kids cannot get enough hamburgers.  This is just my theory of course, but it does make sense.  Who knows!!

Mmmmm hormones. Mmmmm pesticides....

LOL Thanks for that appetizing picture N&T!

I eat fruits, veggies, oatmeal, fish or chicken with more veggies and salad.......that's it..no sugar, etc. AND I STILL HAVE RA!!

Lorster, I use Plain Light SILK soymilk.Thats because I can bake with it and dont want all the calories. It's good in my cereal too. That eally all I use it for. I can use it when I make waffles. It's my regular substitute for anything that calls for milk.

My neice was giving her 5 year old regular milk and one day noticed he had Body Odor ( like a grown man) This scared her and she has used Soy Milk ever since.  Now he smells like a kid.
